Join us for the exciting launch of Louisiana Youth Theatre’s inaugural season with Aladdin Jr., a high-energy, youth-powered performance bursting with music, magic, and adventure!


Performed at the Cary Saurage Black Box Theater at the Arts Council on September 13 & 14, this vibrant musical brings the streets of Agrabah to life. Follow the journey of Aladdin, a kind-hearted street rat whose life changes when he meets a princess longing for freedom. With the help of a fast-talking, over-the-top Genie, Aladdin discovers the power of honesty, friendship, and believing in yourself.


Directed by 14-year-old LYT founder Annie Engholm with an immensely talented all-youth artistic team, Aladdin Jr. is more than just a show—it’s the start of a bold new vision: a theater truly by youth, for youth.
